GMA-7's website - gmanews.tv, its Facebook and Twitter accounts have been simultaneously hacked on Sunday Morning. Monash University website hacked by yaser007 Monash University has reported to "specialist agencies" the hacking of its website home page, which on Saturday displayed the words "Hacked by yaser007" in red above a picture of the Iranian flag within the outline of a map of the country. In an emailed statement on Sunday, Monash University chief information officer, Mr Ian Tebbett, said the site "was subject to an external hacker breach on Saturday" but that "the situation was quickly identified and dealt with". He said no university data had been compromised and that the effects were "limited to the publishing of non-Monash material on the externally-facing website". A Pakistani hacker ' H4x0r HuSsY ' has successfully compromised the official Forum of ' openSUSE ', a Linux distro developed, sponsored & supported by SUSE. The hacker managed to deface the Forum and uploaded its custom message page as shown and account information of 79,500 registered users' may have been compromised. Update: A hacker yesterday claimed to have hacked the FBI's website running on Plone CMS, but it seems it wasn't hacked using any zero-day vulnerability in Plone. We contacted Plone security team and updated this story (see below) with official statements. A hacker, using Twitter handle CyberZeist , has claimed to have hacked the FBI's website (fbi.gov) and leaked personal account information of several FBI agents publically. CyberZeist had initially exposed the flaw on 22 December, giving the FBI time to patch the vulnerability in its website's code before making the data public. The hacker exploited a zero-day vulnerability in the Plone CMS , an Open Source Content Management software used by FBI to host its website, and leaked personal data of 155 FBI officials to Pastebin , including their names, passwords, and email accounts. A pro-hacker group, aligned with president Bashar al-Assad, very well known as Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) has again gained the media attention by adding the popular sites, i.e. eBay UK and PayPal UK to its victim list. After targeting websites of various media agencies, government organizations and big enterprises, including the latest defaced CNN and Microsoft, today they targeted and defaced the official websites of UK's Ebay ( ebay.co.uk ) and PayPal ( paypal.co.uk ).
