Why you should try to join some of the underground hacker forums that are out there

Why you should try to join some of the underground hacker forums that are out there

Dec 05, 2012
Even if you are considered to be a white hat hacker, you are always still walking a fine line between being a bad guy and a good guy in many people eyes. There are a lot of people out there who believe that there should be no hacking at all being done and everyone who does it should be considered a criminal. Of course that is a very small myopic view of how being a white hat hacker really works but there is always going to be an element of that kind of thought out there. There are just a lot of people out there who believe that if you ban hacking outright that it will never be done. And that is simply just not true and is a pure fantasy. But if you really want to be a good and effective white hat hacker, then there are some elements about the other side that you should really get to know. If you want to be able to beat your enemies then you should be able to figure out how they operate. It is not enough for you to be able to take a look at their attacks and try to study their patterns...

Koreans have once again gain media attention but this time not as an accused of any kind of hack attack, but as a victim of a severe attack on computers systems at a nuclear power plant in South Korea by an unknown hacker or a group. South Korea was hit by a cyber attack on its nuclear power plant, causing the operator to conduct drills in order to test the ability of the nuclear plant to cope with a full-scale cyber-attack. Although the plant's operator says no critical data has been leaked. The cyber attack came into light after a hacker posted blueprints of nuclear reactors online and threatened further "leaks" unless authorities close down the reactors. According to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency, the hacker was able to access blueprints of reactors, floor maps and other internal information on the plant. Last week with the help of a Twitter account named " president of anti-nuclear reactor group ," the hacker posted leaked data revea...

Learn Ethical Hacking — Get 8 Online Courses For Just $29

Oct 17, 2017
With the rise in cyber-crimes, ethical hacking has become a powerful strategy in the fight against online threats. In general terms, ethical hackers are authorised to break into supposedly 'secure' computer systems without malicious intent, but with the aim of discovering vulnerabilities to bring about improved protection. Ethical Hackers are now kind of becoming the alchemists of the 21st century. More and more organisations are being targeted in cyber-attacks, and they must get to know their enemy if they are to protect vital networks. Meet the professional, ethical hacker. Despite this, the common belief among many at-risk companies is that 'to outwit a hacker, you need to hire one'. With so much at stake, even technology providers are turning to those with hacking skills to find the flaws in their products and fix them before the baddies can exploit them. Infamous Apple Hacker Turned Ethical; Hired by Facebook 23-year-old George 'GeoHot' Ho...

Hacking Cable TV Networks to Broadcast Your Own Video Channel

May 25, 2014
I was watching my favorite show on the television and it was just half over when I saw something which was definitely not a part of the show I was watching. My television screen gone blank for a couple of seconds and then what I saw was totally unbelievable for my eyes. It was my friend ' Rahul Sasi ' on the television and I was still wondering that how did he interrupted in between a television show like happens in Sci-Fi movies, someone hijacks television or computer to deliver some kind of message or warning. Also like in some horror movies in which sometime ghostly images interrupts between the television and suddenly comes out. Oh my god! But, nothing happened like that in my case, my friend didn't came out. Just few minutes later I was again redirected to the same show I was watching, only a part of it I missed, but never mind I'll watch it on the YouTube later. I think you might be thinking as if I am kidding, but it's true. My friend Rahul Sasi is a well kn...

App Store bypassed by Russian hacker without jailbreaking

Jul 14, 2012
Apple is investigating yet another security breach in its iTunes app store . A Russian hacker worked out a way that allows people to bypass payment in the App Store and download products for free. The hacker, dubbed ZonD80 , posted a video of the crack on YouTube (Deleted by Youtube now ) and claims that the technique makes it possible to beat Apple's payment systems by installing a couple of certificates and assigning a specific IP address to the device. The new service, which has already been subject to attempts at shutting it down, requires no jailbreaking and only minimal configuration changes. It works by funneling purchase requests through a server operated by the hacker, rather than the legitimate one offered by Apple. As a result, charges that normally would be applied to a user's account are bypassed. Below are the steps to the hack: Install two certificates: CA and in-appstore.com. Connect via Wi-Fi network and change the DNS to 62.76.189.117. Press the Like but...
