SQL Injection Vulnerability in Google Lab Database System

SQL Injection Vulnerability in Google Lab Database System

Jun 30, 2011
SQL Injection Vulnerability in Google Lab Database System Very Big & Critical Vulnerability detected in Google Lab System. Vendor is already reported by hackers, But they don't take positive step in this case, so finally hackers exposed  the vulnerability in public by  Bangladesh Cyber Army Admin - Shadman Tanjim on their Forum . Google Lab Website has SQL Injection Vulnerability and Dangerous thing is this Vulnerability is Exploitable. Hackers are able to get Tables, columns and data from Database. Google Lab Database has his own customize DB system. But Interesting things is their database system is Similar as Ms Access database. In this case Ms Access SQL Injection System is Also Work on Google Lab Database system. Statement By Hacker : I already contact with Google Corporation but they don't give positive response, I think this is their big fault,  and will suffer for that. But if they give Positive response t...
OWASP's 2021 List Shuffle: A New Battle Plan and Primary Foe

OWASP's 2021 List Shuffle: A New Battle Plan and Primary Foe

Oct 20, 2021
Code injection attacks, the infamous king of vulnerabilities, have lost the top spot to broken access control as the worst of the worst, and developers need to take notice. In this increasingly chaotic world, there have always been a few constants that people could reliably count on: The sun will rise in the morning and set again at night, Mario will always be cooler than Sonic the Hedgehog, and code injection attacks will always occupy the top spot on the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) list of the  top ten most common  and dangerous vulnerabilities that attackers are actively exploiting. Well, the sun will rise tomorrow, and Mario still has "one-up" on Sonic, but code injection attacks have fallen out of the number one spot on the infamous OWASP list, refreshed in 2021. One of the oldest forms of attacks,  code injection vulnerabilities  have been around almost as long as computer networking. The blanket vulnerability is responsible for a wide rang...
Anatomy of an Attack

Anatomy of an Attack

Aug 20, 2024 Threat Detection / Incident Response
In today's rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape, organizations face increasingly sophisticated attacks targeting their applications. Understanding these threats and the technologies designed to combat them is crucial. This article delves into the mechanics of a common application attack, using the infamous Log4Shell vulnerability as an example, and demonstrates how Application Detection and Response (ADR) technology effectively safeguards against such zero-day threats. View the Contrast ADR white paper The anatomy of a modern application attack: Log4Shell To illustrate the complexity and severity of modern application attacks, let's examine an attack against the infamous Log4Shell vulnerability ( CVE-2021-44228 ) that sent shockwaves through the cybersecurity world in late 2021. This attack is a prime example of attack chaining, leveraging JNDI Injection, Expression Language (EL) Injection and Command Injection. Technology note : The CVE program catalogs, which publicly...

New Mockingjay Process Injection Technique Could Let Malware Evade Detection

New Mockingjay Process Injection Technique Could Let Malware Evade Detection

Jun 27, 2023 Malware / Cyber Threat
A new process injection technique dubbed Mockingjay could be exploited by threat actors to bypass security solutions to execute malicious code on compromised systems. "The injection is executed without space allocation, setting permissions or even starting a thread," Security Joes researchers Thiago Peixoto, Felipe Duarte, and Ido Naor  said  in a report shared with The Hacker News. "The uniqueness of this technique is that it requires a vulnerable DLL and copying code to the right section." Process injection is an  attack method  that allows adversaries to inject code into processes in order to evade process-based defenses and elevate privileges. In doing so, it could allow for the execution of arbitrary code in the memory space of a separate live process. Some of the well-known process injection techniques include dynamic link library (DLL) injection, portable executable injection, thread execution hijacking, process hollowing, and process doppelgänging, amon...
