Beware Comodo Users! Have you Safeguarded your PC with a Comodo Antivirus? Then you need to inspect your system for privacy and security concerns. Chromodo browser, which is supplied along with the installation of Comodo Anti-Virus Software and marketed as 'Private Internet Browser' for better security and privacy, automatically overrides system settings to set itself as your 'Default Browser.' And secondly, the main security concern about Comodo Antivirus is that the Chromodo browser has 'Same Origin Policy' (SOP) disabled by default. Google is ready to give New Year gift to the Internet users, who are concerned about their privacy and security. The Chromium Project's security team has marked all HTTP web pages as insecure and is planning to explicitly and actively inform users that HTTP connections provide no data security protections. There are also projects like Let's Encrypt , launched by the non-profit foundation EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) in collaboration with big and reputed companies including Mozilla, Cisco, and Akamai to offer free HTTPS/SSL certificates for those running servers on the Internet at the beginning of 2015. This is not the first time when Google is taking initiative to encourage website owners to switch to HTTPS by default. Few months ago, the web Internet giant also made changes in its search engine algorithm in an effort to give a slight ranking boost to the websites that use encrypted HTTPS connections. "We, the Chrome Security Team, propose that

The collection of slashes and hyphens in URLs of websites make it look complicated and messy, now the new experimental version of the Google Chrome browser bury the whole URL into the top-level domain name. Chrome Canary is an early build and a leading-edge of the next version of Google's web browser and a couple of days ago, Google pushed an update to both of its Chrome Canary and beta builds that hide long URLs of a website from the address bar. OMNIBOX - NEW ADDRESS BAR The field that is mostly known as address bar is now better known as "omnibox", a single bar at the top of the screen that gives you ability to type terms you want to

During the first day of Pwn2Own competition at the CanSecWest conference in Vancouver , latest versions of all major browsers were exploited by hackers.  Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 were successfully pwned by various competitors, bringing them tens of thousands of dollars in prizes.  French vulnerability research and bug selling firm ' Vupen ' brought down IE10 running on a Windows 8 powered Surface Pro tablet by exploiting a pair of flaws. Researchers Jon Butler and Nils from MWR Labs managed to exploit Google Chrome on Windows 7 and also used a kernel bug to bypass the sandbox. " By visiting a malicious webpage, it was possible to exploit a vulnerability which allowed us to gain code execution in the context of the sandboxed renderer process. We also used a kernel vulnerability in the underlying operating system in order to gain elevated privileges and to execute arbitrary commands outside of the sandbox with system privi
