Two Federal Agents Charged with Stealing Bitcoins During Silk Road Investigation

Two former Federal investigators who helped to shut down the infamous black-market website ' Silk Road ' accused of fraud and stealing more than a Million dollars in Bitcoins during their investigation. Silk Road, an infamous online drug market that hosted more than $200 Million in transactions, was seized by the FBI in 2013, but during that period two of FBI agents took advantage of their position. CHARGES AGAINST FEDS The US Department of Justice indictment charges 46-year-old former Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) special agent Carl Force , and 32-year-old former Secret Service agent Shaun Bridges , with the following charges: Theft of government property Wire fraud Money laundering Conflict of interest MILLION DOLLAR EXTORTION Both Force and Bridges were part of Baltimore's Silk Road Task Force to investigate illegal activity in the black marketplace. The US State Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday a $3 Million reward for the information leading to the direct arrest or conviction of Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev , one of the most wanted hacking suspects accused of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars with his malware. This is the highest bounty U.S. authorities have ever offered in any cyber case in its history. The 30-year-old Russian man who, according to bureau, is an alleged leader of a cyber criminal group who developed the GameOver Zeus botnet . The massive hacking attack against Sony Pictures Entertainment has reached a more scarier phase following another huge leak of sensitive, confidential documents revealing celebrity contact details and upcoming film scripts. The so-called Guardians of Peace (GoP) group taking responsibility for the massive hack attack against Sony Pictures Entertainment claimed to have released a new trove of more confidential data including private information of its employees, celebrity phone numbers and their travel aliases, film budgets, upcoming film scripts and many more. FBI Busts Hacker who blackmails 350 women for stripping on camera

The FBI Tuesday announced the arrest of Karen 'Gary' Kazaryan , a 27-year old man, who is said to have blackmailed more than 350 women after convincing them to strip off in front of their webcams has been arrested in the US. He was arrested in Glendale, California on Tuesday after being indicted on 15 counts of computer intrusion and 15 counts of aggravated identity theft, and faces a possible 105 years in the Big House if convicted. The FBI described the alleged blackmail as " se*tortion ". He is accused of hacking into the victims accounts and changing their passwords, locking them out of their own online accounts. Sensitive information of 1 Million people breached at Nationwide Insurance

Nationwide Insurance was breached last week and Sensitive information of about 1 Million people is at risk. The FBI is investigating a breach, including policy and non-policy holders. Nationwide mailed notices to all affected individuals last Friday. Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens issued the following statement Monday concerning the unauthorized access of Nationwide Insurance's website. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Giannetti confirmed a statement by the California Department of Insurance earlier in the day which said "names, social security numbers, and other identifying information" of one million policyholders and non-policy holders were exposed. No credit card details were revealed. About 30,000 people in Georgia were affected, as well as more than 12,000 in South Carolina.
