Record-breaking 1.9 Gbps Internet Speed achieved over 4G Mobile Connection

Record-breaking 1.9 Gbps Internet Speed achieved over 4G Mobile Connection

Aug 30, 2016
Elisa , one of the biggest Finnish Internet Service Providers (ISP), claims to have achieved a new world record for 4G network with 1.9 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) data download speed using Huawei technology. Currently, Sweden and the United Kingdom have been crowned as the top countries across the world when it comes to fastest mobile 3G and 4G speeds, but now Finland is also working hard to give them a tough competition. Elisa set this record-breaking benchmark with the help of technology provided by Chinese telecom giant Huawei that could allow real-world mobile 4G users to download a Blu-ray film in just 40-45 seconds. 4G and 5G Technology: The future of Mobile Networks In February last year, a team of researchers from the University of Surrey managed to achieve a record-breaking speed of 1 Terabit per second (1Tbps) during a test of 5G wireless data connections, which is over 500 times faster than Elisa's 4G speed. While, in June last year, the International Tele...
5G Mobile Networks to Offer Speed Up To 20Gbps

5G Mobile Networks to Offer Speed Up To 20Gbps

Jun 20, 2015
While many of us are battling with the slow data access and still awaiting the roll-out of 4G Networks, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is already looking forward to the next generation of telecommunication network technology. Yes folks, we are talking about the future 5G standard for mobile networking . Since 5G standard is currently in the definition stage, the ITU has announced a timeline for a name, demonstration, and distribution. During a conference held in San Diego from June 10th to 18th, 12 member delegation sat to draw up the specifications to be established for the upcoming 5G network standard and to set a roadmap as to how the objective will be achieved. What's the Standard Data Speed for 5G Network? When I talk about data speed, the ITU has decided that 5G compliant networks will have to provide a peak data speed of up to 20Gbps , which means it's 20 times faster than the peak speed specification (1Gbps) of 4G LTE network...
5 Identity Threat Detection & Response Must-Haves for Super SaaS Security

5 Identity Threat Detection & Response Must-Haves for Super SaaS Security

Mar 19, 2025SaaS Security / Threat Detection
Identity-based attacks are on the rise. Attackers are targeting identities with compromised credentials, hijacked authentication methods, and misused privileges. While many threat detection solutions focus on cloud, endpoint, and network threats, they overlook the unique risks posed by SaaS identity ecosystems. This blind spot is wreaking havoc on heavily SaaS-reliant organizations big and small. The question is, what can security teams do about it? Have no fear, because Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) is here to save the day. It's essential to have the visibility and response mechanisms to stop attacks before they become breaches. Here's the super lineup that every team needs to stop SaaS identity threats. #1 Full coverage: cover every angle  Like Cap's shield, this defense should cover every angle. Traditional threat detection tools such as XDRs and EDRs fail to cover SaaS applications and leave organizations vulnerable. SaaS identity threat detection and re...
Record-breaking 1Tbps Speed achieved Over 5G Mobile Connection

Record-breaking 1Tbps Speed achieved Over 5G Mobile Connection

Feb 26, 2015
New Generations usually bring new base technologies, more network capacity for more data per user, and high speed Internet service, for which Internet service providers usually advertise. However, it is believed that the fifth generation (5G Technology) of mobile network will be beyond our thoughts. 1TBPS OVER 5G Security researchers from the University of Surrey have just achieved Record-Breaking data speeds during a recent test of 5G wireless data connections, achieving an incredible One Terabit per second (1Tbps) speed – many thousands of times faster than the existing 4G connections. After 4G, 5G is the next generation of mobile communication technology that aims at offering far greater capacity and be faster, more energy-efficient and more cost-effective than anything that has seen before. The boffins say 5G will be different – very different. The 5G test was conducted at the university's 5G Innovation Centre ( 5GIC ), which was founded by a host of telecoms...
