iOS 9 Hack: How to Access Private Photos and Contacts Without a Passcode

iOS 9 Hack: How to Access Private Photos and Contacts Without a Passcode

Sep 22, 2015
Setting a passcode on your iPhone is the first line of defense to help prevent other people from accessing your device. However, it's pretty easy for anyone to access your personal photographs and contacts from your iPhone running iOS 9 in just 30 seconds or less, even with a passcode and/or Touch ID enabled. Just yesterday, the Security firm Zerodium announced a Huge Bug Bounty of 1 Million Dollars for finding out zero-day exploits and jailbreak for iPhones and iPads running iOS 9. Now... A hacker has found a new and quite simple method of bypassing the security of a locked iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) running Apple's latest iOS 9 operating system that could allow you to access the device's photos and contacts in 30 seconds or less. Yes, the passcode on any iOS device running iOS 9.0 is possible to bypass using the benevolent nature of Apple's personal assistant Siri. Here's the List of Steps to Bypass Passcode: You need to follow
iPhone Fingerprint scanner hack allows attacker to hijack Apple ID using Flight Mode

iPhone Fingerprint scanner hack allows attacker to hijack Apple ID using Flight Mode

Oct 06, 2013
A German security firm SRL claims a vulnerability in Touch ID Fingerprint Scanner and iCloud allows a hacker to access a locked device and potentially gain control over an owner's Apple ID. SRL points out that Airplane mode can be enabled on a stolen phone from the lockscreen , which turns off wireless connectivity and so defeats the remote wipe facility . This can be accessed without requiring a passcode, could be a major vulnerability when it comes to physically stolen devices. In a video demonstration, they point out that while Apple lets users locate and remotely wipe a device using the Find My iPhone app. Since Find My iPhone can only perform a wipe if a device is connected to the Internet, but because airplane mode will disable Internet Connectivity, that may give a thief enough time to get fingerprints off of the device and eventually log in. An attacker can create a fake fingerprint on a laminated sheet and later attached to one of their fingers, as already explained
How to Achieve the Best Risk-Based Alerting (Bye-Bye SIEM)

How to Achieve the Best Risk-Based Alerting (Bye-Bye SIEM)

Feb 19, 2024Network Detection and Response
Did you know that Network Detection and Response (NDR) has become the most effective technology to detect cyber threats? In contrast to SIEM, NDR offers adaptive cybersecurity with reduced false alerts and efficient threat response. Are you aware of  Network Detection and Response (NDR)  and how it's become the most effective technology to detect cyber threats?  NDR massively upgrades your security through risk-based alerting, prioritizing alerts based on the potential risk to your organization's systems and data. How? Well, NDR's real-time analysis, machine learning, and threat intelligence provide immediate detection, reducing alert fatigue and enabling better decision-making. In contrast to SIEM, NDR offers adaptive cybersecurity with reduced false positives and efficient threat response. Why Use Risk-Based Alerting? Risk-based alerting is an approach where security alerts and responses are prioritized based on the level of risk they pose to an organization's system
