Sony Hackers Threaten 9/11 Type Attack at Theaters Showing 'The Interview' Movie

Dec 17, 2014
The massive hacking attack against Sony Pictures Entertainment has yet exposed about 200 gigabytes of confidential data belonging to the company from upcoming movie scripts to sensitive employees data, celebrities phone numbers and their travel aliases, and also the high-quality versions of five newest films , marking it as the most severe hack in the History. Now, the so-called "Guardians of Peace" (GoP) group who promised to release a big "Christmas gift" for Sony Pictures posted an eighth batch of documents to the Internet on Tuesday of what everyone in Hollywood has been waiting for — Thousands of personal emails stolen from Sony Pictures co-Chairman and CEO Michael Lynton . The personal emails released just one day after Michael Lynton convened a town-hall meeting for Sony employees in the wake of the company's widespread data breach and proclaimed, "Our business has a strong foundation… This won't take us down." Foursquare vulnerability that exposes 45 million users' email addresses

Jan 28, 2014
A location based Social Networking platform with 45 million users,' Foursquare ' was vulnerable to the primary email address disclosed.  Foursquare is a Smartphone application that gives you details of nearby cafes, bars, shops, parks using GPS location and also tells about your friends nearby. According to a Penetration tester and hacker ' Jamal Eddin e ',  an attacker can extract email addresses of all 45 million users just by using a few lines of scripting tool. Basically the flaw exists in the Invitation system of the Foursquare app. While testing the app, he found that invitation received on the recipient's end actually disclosing the sender's email address, as shown above. How to Achieve the Best Risk-Based Alerting (Bye-Bye SIEM)

Feb 19, 2024Network Detection and Response
Did you know that Network Detection and Response (NDR) has become the most effective technology to detect cyber threats? In contrast to SIEM, NDR offers adaptive cybersecurity with reduced false alerts and efficient threat response. Are you aware of  Network Detection and Response (NDR)  and how it's become the most effective technology to detect cyber threats?  NDR massively upgrades your security through risk-based alerting, prioritizing alerts based on the potential risk to your organization's systems and data. How? Well, NDR's real-time analysis, machine learning, and threat intelligence provide immediate detection, reducing alert fatigue and enabling better decision-making. In contrast to SIEM, NDR offers adaptive cybersecurity with reduced false positives and efficient threat response. Why Use Risk-Based Alerting? Risk-based alerting is an approach where security alerts and responses are prioritized based on the level of risk they pose to an organization's system

Anonymous Hackers claim to breach North Korean site Uriminzokkiri

Apr 02, 2013
Hacking group Anonymous claims to have broken into North Korean site Uriminzokkiri.com and got their hands on more than 15,000 user credentials. A message posted online makes the claim and includes details for six accounts, apparently showing user names, e-mail addresses, birth dates, and hashed passwords. " Enjoy these few records as a proof of our access to your systems (random innocent citizens, collateral damage, because they were stupid enough to choose idiot passwords), we got all over 15k membership records of www.uriminzokkiri.com and many more. First we gonna wipe your data, then we gonna wipe your badass dictatorship "government" ." Of the six users, three have Korean names and the other three appear to be Chinese. " North Korean government is increasingly becoming a threat to peace and freedom. We demand: - N.K. government to stop making nukes and nuke-threats,  uncensored internet access for all the citizens  and Kim Jong-un to resign " Fo
