FBI Most Wanted Fugitive JPMorgan Hacker Arrested in New York

One of the FBI's most wanted hackers who was behind the largest theft of financial data has finally been arrested at the JFK airport in New York. Joshua Samuel Aaron is accused of being part of a hacking group that attacked several major financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase , and according to the officials, which was "the largest theft of user data from a U.S. financial institution in history." Aaron was believed to have been living as a fugitive in Moscow, Russia after being charged with hacking crimes in 2015, which exposed the personal information of more than 100 Million people. On June 2015, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Aaron by the United States District Court, and the FBI and US secret service agents arrested him upon his arrival at the JFK airport in NY, announced the US Department of Justice. The US government has charged hackers over the largest ever hacking case in financial history. The US Court of the Southern District of New York has charged three men accused of hacking into many financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase that, according to the officials, was "the largest theft of user data from a U.S. financial institution in history." JPMorgan Chase is one of the world's biggest banks that controls total assets worth more than $2.59 Trillion . The Hackers targeted at least nine financial institutions between 2012 and mid-2015, including JPMorgan Chase, brokerages and a major business news publication, and stolen information of " over 100 Million customers ," Bloomberg reported Tuesday. JPMorgan Chase , one of the world's biggest Banks has recently announced that it was the victim of a cyber attack and warned round 465,000 of its holders of prepaid cash cards on the possible exposure of their personal information. In the Security Breach that took place on the bank's website www.ucard.chase.com  in July, around 465,000 accounts are compromised i.e. 2% of the overall 25 million UCard users. JPMorgan confirmed that there is no risk for holders of debit cards, credit cards or prepaid Liquid cards. They informed the law enforcement in September, and till now no information on how attackers have conducted the attack has been disclosed. The JPMorgan spokesman Michael Fusco declared that the investigation allowed the identification of victim accounts and the data stolen, the bank already notifying the cardholders of the incident.
