Langflow's Critical Authenticated RCE Flaw Targeted in 1,423 Honeypot Exploit Attempts

Langflow's Critical Authenticated RCE Flaw Targeted in 1,423 Honeypot Exploit Attempts

Oct 15, 2026 Vulnerability / Artificial Intelligence
Threat actors are exploiting a critical security flaw in Langflow, according to an alert from Previdian. Langflow is an open-source platform that allows developers to build artificial intelligence (AI) applications and agentic workflows. In February 2025, DataStax, the parent company of Langflow, was acquired by IBM. The vulnerability in question is CVE-2026-105740 (CVSS score: 9.9), a case of authenticated remote code execution impacting versions prior to 1.9.0. "Any authenticated Langflow user can achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) on the server by adding an MCP server with the 'stdio' transport," reads an advisory released last month. "The user-supplied command field is passed directly to bash -c "exec {command}" with zero validation, no allowlisting, and no sandboxing. The command executes immediately when the server list is fetched. Additionally, the env field allows arbitrary environment variable injection (e.g., LD_PRELOAD, PATH ove...

AhsayCBS Flaws Exploited to Deploy Web Shells Get New Fixes After Incomplete Patches

Oct 15, 2026 Vulnerability / Cryptojacking
Singapore-based Ahsay Backup has released security updates to address two security flaws in AhsayCBS that have been exploited by bad actors to drop web shells and XMRig cryptocurrency miners. The vulnerabilities in question are CVE-2026-105133 and CVE-2026-105134 , which could be chained to sidestep authentication and execute arbitrary commands on affected systems. In a report published earlier this month, Huntress said it observed threat actors combining the two flaws to achieve unauthenticated remote code execution and deploy web shells and cryptocurrency miners on exposed systems. Although the vulnerabilities were initially assumed to be addressed in AhsayCBS versions 9.15.2.59 and 10.3.4.0 released in August 2026, the software company has now confirmed that the patches did not completely plug them. The fixes are available in the following versions - AhsayCBS v10.3.4.45 hotfix AhsayCBS v9.15.2.70 hotfix "Given the severity of these risks, we strongly urge ...
Hackers Backdoor Nextcloud Servers Through Critical Flaw in Collabora’s Built-in CODE App

Hackers Backdoor Nextcloud Servers Through Critical Flaw in Collabora’s Built-in CODE App

Oct 14, 2026 Vulnerability / Malware
Attackers exploited a flaw in an optional Nextcloud app,  Collabora Online - Built-in CODE Server , to plant web shells on Nextcloud servers. Three administrators  reported the issue on GitHub , with the first logged attack on September 10. A web shell is a small file that executes any command an attacker sends via a web request, with the rights of the web server account. The flaw allows an unauthenticated request to run a command on the server, but only when the app's local document server is not running, such as during a restart or upgrade, or after a crash. Collabora fixed it in  version 26.4.303  on September 11 and on October 14 published  an advisory  with the identifier  CVE-2026-110447 , warning that turning off the app does not help: it must be updated or removed. Who Is Affected The app, published by Collabora under the package name richdocumentscode, downloads a copy of Collabora Online Development Edition (CODE) and runs it ...

curl Patches HTTP/2 Upload Flaw After PoC Demonstrates Client-Side Code Execution

curl Patches HTTP/2 Upload Flaw After PoC Demonstrates Client-Side Code Execution

Oct 14, 2026 Vulnerability / Web Security
A flaw in how curl handles HTTP/2 uploads lets a malicious server receiving an upload corrupt the client's memory, and the researcher who reported it turned that into code execution on the uploading machine. The curl project fixed it on October 14 in  curl 8.23.0 . Taking over a client needs exact knowledge of its build and memory layout, and curl expects a real attack to end in a crash instead. The flaw, a use-after-free tracked as  CVE-2026-92392 , affects curl and libcurl 8.12.0 through 8.22.0, both the command-line tool and the library that many other programs use for transfers. curl rates it High on its own four-level scale, its first High-severity flaw since the  SOCKS5 heap overflow of October 2023 . The project cut its release cycle by two weeks to ship the fix. The attack runs from the server side. The client has to upload a file of roughly 135KB over HTTP/2 to a server controlled by the attacker, and the server's certificate must pass the client's checks....
Researchers Used a Public OpenAI Model to Build a $250,000 Chrome Full-Chain Exploit in Six Days

Researchers Used a Public OpenAI Model to Build a $250,000 Chrome Full-Chain Exploit in Six Days

Oct 14, 2026 Vulnerability / Browser Security
A team at security firm XBOW chained three then-unknown Google Chrome bugs into a single attack that runs code on a Windows computer when the user only loads a web page, the company said. Its researchers built the attack in six days by directing AI agents running OpenAI's publicly available GPT-5.6 Sol model. Google has since confirmed all three bugs,  fixed them , and paid XBOW its top $250,000 reward for a full Chrome exploit. The attack is a full chain: a set of bugs used together to break every layer of Chrome's protection, from a web page all the way to the computer. Chrome runs web page code inside two nested sandboxes, the barriers that stop a hacked page from reaching the rest of the machine. The chain crossed both. The result was code running outside Chrome on Windows, with no need for the user to click or download anything. All three bugs are now fixed, and XBOW says they were never used against Chrome users. The two that carry public identifiers were fixed ...
An AI Agent Found a Critical OTP Bypass in Production. The Attack Was the Easy Part.

An AI Agent Found a Critical OTP Bypass in Production. The Attack Was the Easy Part.

Oct 14, 2026 Vulnerability / Artificial Intelligence
The bug was simple: the login let you choose where your sign-in code went. Proving it on a live website was the hard part. TL;DR During an authorized assessment, an AI pentesting agent found a critical authentication bypass on a major insurer's production website, on its own. One login request let the user choose where the one-time passcode went. The attack was the easy part. Proving it on a live site took web context built over a decade. The Login Worked. Then the Agent Stopped. Reflectiz's AI pentesting agent was mapping the login flow of a major insurer's production website, which has millions of users. The agent requested a login code and directed it to an email inbox it controlled. The code arrived. The login went through. Its guardrails halted the test after the login succeeded.  The agent had discovered a critical-severity authentication bypass on its own. Reflectiz reported it to the insurer. The Flaw: The Request Chose Where the Code Went ...

CyberXero Uses Claude Code in Campaign That Stole Over 628,000 Ukrainian Records

Oct 12, 2026 Web Security / Cybercrime
Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a two-pronged artificial intelligence (AI)-augmented initial access campaign targeting WordPress sites, e-commerce platforms, and critical infrastructure entities in Ukraine. The activity, which brings together commodity offensive tools like Cobalt Strike with an AI orchestration layer powered by Anthropic's Claude Code, has been attributed to a Russian-speaking, financially motivated initial access broker codenamed CyberXero . The threat actor is assessed to be active since at least July 2026. "The operation runs two pipelines at once: a global, automated campaign against WordPress and e-commerce platforms, and a curated, manual campaign against Ukrainian energy and critical infrastructure," SOCRadar said in a report published last week. The global campaign specifically focuses on known security flaws like wp2shell (CVE-2026-63030 and CVE-2026-60137) and CVE-2026-4815 , an SQL injection vulnerability impactin...
Anthropic Cuts Live Internet Access for Internal AI Tests After Claude Exploits Injection Flaws

Anthropic Cuts Live Internet Access for Internal AI Tests After Claude Exploits Injection Flaws

Oct 10, 2026 Artificial Intelligence / Web Security
Anthropic on Friday said it's cutting off live internet access for all its internal evaluations until further notice following the discovery of new incidents in which its artificial intelligence (AI) models exhibited misaligned behavior and targeted real websites. The AI company said it identified four broad categories of unintended model actions during evaluations and internal use of Claude - Claude Mythos Preview exploiting SQL or command injection flaws in unspecified third-party software to run commands on a university server, either because its own tools were intentionally limited or because an outside service it needed was unavailable, causing it to use other tools hosted on a third party's site to complete the task. Claude Haiku 4.5 and a non-frontier research model submitting a sensitive form on a real website when it was not authorized to do so. This occurred in scenarios where instructions were ambiguous or due to environment misconfigurations that preve...

FBI Says China-Linked Hackers Ran Portal Giving Third Parties Access to Stolen Emails

Oct 08, 2026 Data Breach / Cyber Espionage
Hackers tied to a Chinese cybersecurity company stole email from government organizations, law enforcement agencies, healthcare systems, and religious institutions in Southeast Asia, the FBI and agencies in 6 other countries said on October 8. The company, Integrity Technology Group , has been sanctioned by the U.S. and the UK. The hackers scanned websites for flaws using a tool containing more than 1,300 scripts, guessed passwords for Microsoft 365 and Exchange accounts, and copied mailboxes using tools designed to collect mail. The hackers have been breaking into networks since at least mid-January 2021, according to the agencies'  joint advisory . It describes the hacking in the present tense but provides no date for any theft and does not specify how many organizations were breached. The same hackers targeted U.S. government services, critical manufacturing, healthcare, and IT organizations, along with U.S. law enforcement, education, and religious groups. Organizations ...
Japan Sees Sharp Rise in Web Data Leaks Amid Mobile API Abuse and Metabase Attacks

Japan Sees Sharp Rise in Web Data Leaks Amid Mobile API Abuse and Metabase Attacks

Oct 08, 2026 Data Breach / Web Security
Attackers behind a string of personal data leaks at Japanese organizations have abused APIs for mobile apps and targeted known software flaws, the JPCERT Coordination Center (JPCERT/CC) said. The Tokyo-based center, which takes incident reports, based its  October 8, 2026 alert  on those reports and other information. The alert names no attacker and no affected organization. JPCERT/CC called what it knows "limited and fragmentary" in the alert, translated here from Japanese. It said its account does not mean the same method was used in every incident. Besides consumer apps, the systems hit include business intelligence (BI) tools and employee-facing management systems that their operators did not expect the public to reach. Data stored in them leaked in some cases. For defenders, the alert includes eight source IP addresses, five User-Agent strings, and a list of API controls, including access controls on every endpoint, public or not. The only product it names a...
ARTEX AI Pentesting Tool Used in Data Theft Attacks on South Korean Financial Firms

ARTEX AI Pentesting Tool Used in Data Theft Attacks on South Korean Financial Firms

Oct 08, 2026 Agentic AI / Web Security
Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a targeted campaign aimed at South Korean financial organizations that used an artificial intelligence (AI) pen testing tool named ARTEX to carry out the attacks. The activity , per CrowdStrike Intelligence, was active from late September to early October 2026, and resulted in data exfiltration from various South Korea-based financial firms , including Shinhan Bank and Yegaram Savings Bank. "In this activity, the threat actor leveraged ARTEX, a recently released open-source agentic penetration testing (pentesting) tool developed in China, alongside large language models (LLMs)," the cybersecurity company said . CrowdStrike said it discovered the campaign after it identified a set of open directories hosted at a Hong Kong-based IP address, exposing Claude Code session histories, Claude memory files, and ARTEX configuration files. The campaign has not been attributed to any known threat actor or group. But evidenc...
Wazza Phishkit Targets Banking, Government, and Manufacturing Across the US, EU, and Australia

Wazza Phishkit Targets Banking, Government, and Manufacturing Across the US, EU, and Australia

Oct 08, 2026 Web Security / Threat Intelligence
Phishing kits are no longer limited to copying a familiar login page and waiting for a victim to enter credentials. Attackers are increasingly building filtering, session management, and traffic controls into the infrastructure that delivers the phishing page itself. ANY.RUN has identified Wazza, a new phishkit targeting banking, manufacturing, and government organizations across the US, Europe, and Australia. The campaign uses a multi-stage routing chain to screen visitors and automated traffic before delivering an Adobe-themed Device Code phishing page. For security teams, that makes Wazza more than another malicious URL. The campaign shows how attackers can control the path to the final lure, making the initial link less informative and potentially complicating automated detection. MSSPs face an added challenge, as they investigate alerts across multiple customer environments while keeping response times under control. That uncertainty can translate directly into longer in...
Attackers Hijack .gh, .sl, and .as Registries to Obtain Certificates for Google Domains

Attackers Hijack .gh, .sl, and .as Registries to Obtain Certificates for Google Domains

Oct 07, 2026 Web Security / Domain Hijacking
Attackers compromised three country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) and obtained unauthorized HTTPS certificates for several Google domains, Google  said on October 6 . Google's own systems were not breached, but any domain ending in .gh (Ghana), .sl (Sierra Leone) or .as (American Samoa) was put at risk. With such a certificate, an attacker could pose as the real site over an encrypted connection and read the private data sent to it. Chrome blocked the unauthorized certificates for Google's domains through  CRLSets , its way of quickly blocking certificates in emergencies, Google said. The company also worked with the certificate authorities (CAs) that issued the certificates to have them revoked, a step meant to protect people using other browsers and apps. Google did not name the domains.  Certificate Transparency  (CT) logs are the public record of certificates issued by CAs. They show at least 12 certificates issued between September 22 and 27 for Google...
SonicWall Patches CVSS 10.0 Pre-Authentication SSRF Flaw in SMA1000 Appliances

SonicWall Patches CVSS 10.0 Pre-Authentication SSRF Flaw in SMA1000 Appliances

Oct 07, 2026 Vulnerability / Network Security
SonicWall has released hotfixes for four flaws in its SMA1000 appliances, the gateways that give remote workers access to a company's network and applications. The most serious could allow an attacker without a login to send requests through the appliance and reach internal functions. SonicWall rates it 10.0 on the CVSS scale and says it has no evidence that any of the four flaws is being used in attacks. The most serious flaw, tracked as  CVE-2026-102255 , is a server-side request forgery (SSRF) bug in WorkPlace, the portal that SMA1000 users log in to. It exists due to an unintended access path through SonicWall and can be reached before authentication. An attacker who abuses that path could "reach internal functionality and perform unauthorized operations," SonicWall said in its  security advisory , dated October 6, without saying which functions. All four flaws affect SMA1000 models 6210, 7210 and 8200v on these platform-hotfix versions:
