Czech Republic Blames China-Linked APT31 Hackers for 2022 Cyberattack

The Czech Republic on Wednesday formally accused a threat actor associated with the People's Republic of China (PRC) of targeting its Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In a public statement, the government said it identified China as the culprit behind a malicious campaign targeting one of the unclassified networks of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The extent of the breach is presently not known. "The malicious activity [...] lasted from 2022 and affected an institution designated as Czech critical infrastructure," it added . The attack has been attributed to a state-sponsored threat actor tracked as APT31 , which also overlaps with threat clusters known as Altaire, Bronze Vinewood, Judgement Panda, PerplexedGoblin, RedBravo, Red Keres, and Violet Typhoon (formerly Zirconium). Insider Breach: T-Mobile Czech Employee Steals and Sells 1.5 Million Users Data

T-Mobile is the latest in the list of recent high-profile data breaches, though this time the breach is not carried out by "Peace" - the Russian hacker who was behind the massive breaches in some popular social media sites including LinkedIn , MySpace , Tumblr , and VK.com . Instead, one of the T-Mobile's employees stole more than 1.5 Million customer records at the T-Mobile Czech Republic in order to sell it on for a profit, according to local media , MF DNES. Yes, the customer service staff member tried to sell the T-Mobile customer marketing database, though it is not clear that how much of names, e-mail addresses, account numbers and other personal data of over 1.5 Million customers the database contained. Another Bitcoin Exchange hacked!  Bitcash. CZ based out of the Czech Republic has been hacked and Money from 4000 Bitcoin wallets have been Stolen, value of over 2 million Czech Koruna i.e. Approx $100,000. Bitcash.cz  is currently down with a maintenance message that on the evening of November 11, their server was compromised by unknown Hackers and  bitcoins from its clients were stolen. Hackers appear to have sent emails from Bitcash.cz email accounts pretending to be members of staff. The emails claim the company had to use a US recovery company to get back the bitcoins that have been stolen and recipients are then apparently asked to send 2 BTC to a wallet address in order for their bitcoins to be returned.
