Salesforce Disables Klue App Integration After OAuth Token Abuse Exposes Customer Data

Salesforce Disables Klue App Integration After OAuth Token Abuse Exposes Customer Data

Jun 19, 2026 Data Breach / Cloud Security
Salesforce has revealed that it disabled the Klue Battlecards app integration within its platform in response to a security incident impacting the competitive intelligence company on June 11, 2026. To that end, organizations will be unable to connect to Salesforce via the app until further notice, the American cloud-based software company noted in an alert published this week. "Salesforce took this action because our security teams recently detected unusual activity involving the app that may have resulted in unauthorized access to a subset of customer data via the app's connection to Salesforce," it noted . "This issue is limited to Klue's app connection and does not arise from a vulnerability within the Salesforce platform." The development comes as an extortion group dubbed Icarus compromised and exfiltrated data from customers of Klue, including cybersecurity company Huntress. "The data that was copied from our Salesforce account includes b...
Threat Actors Mass-Scan Salesforce Experience Cloud via Modified AuraInspector Tool

Threat Actors Mass-Scan Salesforce Experience Cloud via Modified AuraInspector Tool

Mar 10, 2026 Cloud Security / API Security
Salesforce has warned of an increase in threat actor activity that's aimed at exploiting misconfigurations in publicly accessible Experience Cloud sites by making use of a customized version of an open-source tool called AuraInspector. The activity, per the company, involves the exploitation of customers' overly permissive Experience Cloud guest user configurations to obtain access to sensitive data. "Evidence indicates the threat actor is leveraging a modified version of the open-source tool AuraInspector [...] to perform mass scanning of public-facing Experience Cloud sites," Salesforce said . "While the original AuraInspector is limited to identifying vulnerable objects by probing API endpoints that these sites expose (specifically the /s/sfsites/aura endpoint), the actor has developed a custom version of the tool capable of going beyond identification to actually extract data — exploiting overly permissive guest user settings." AuraInspector ref...

Salesforce Patches Critical ForcedLeak Bug Exposing CRM Data via AI Prompt Injection

Sep 25, 2025 Vulnerability / AI Security
Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed a critical flaw impacting Salesforce Agentforce , a platform for building artificial intelligence (AI) agents, that could allow attackers to potentially exfiltrate sensitive data from its customer relationship management (CRM) tool by means of an indirect prompt injection. The vulnerability has been codenamed ForcedLeak (CVSS score: 9.4) by Noma Security, which discovered and reported the problem on July 28, 2025. It impacts any organization using Salesforce Agentforce with the Web-to-Lead functionality enabled. "This vulnerability demonstrates how AI agents present a fundamentally different and expanded attack surface compared to traditional prompt-response systems," Sasi Levi, security research lead at Noma, said in a report shared with The Hacker News. One of the most severe threats facing generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) systems today is indirect prompt injection , which occurs when malicious instructions are ins...

Chameleon Android Banking Trojan Targets Users Through Fake CRM App

Chameleon Android Banking Trojan Targets Users Through Fake CRM App

Aug 07, 2024 Android / Mobile Security,
Cybersecurity researchers have lifted the lid on a new technique adopted by threat actors behind the Chameleon Android banking trojan targeting users in Canada by masquerading as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) app. "Chameleon was seen masquerading as a CRM app, targeting a Canadian restaurant chain operating internationally," Dutch security outfit ThreatFabric said in a technical report published Monday. The campaign, spotted in July 2024, targeted customers in Canada and Europe, indicating an expansion of its victimology footprint from Australia, Italy, Poland, and the U.K. The use of CRM-related themes for the malicious dropper apps containing the malware points to the targets being customers in the hospitality sector and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) employees. The dropper artifacts are also designed to bypass Restricted Settings imposed by Google in Android 13 and later in order to prevent sideloaded apps from requesting for dangerous permissions (e.g., acc...
