In a major embarrassment, the website of premier investigating agency CBI was hacked tonight by programmers identifying themselves as "Pakistani Cyber Army". The home page of the CBI website had a message from the 'Pakistani Cyber Army' warning the Indian Cyber Army not to attack their . The hackers have made a mockery of the country's cyber security by infiltrating into the CBI website, supposed to be one of the most secure websites. The CBI is connected to the command centre of world police organisation - Interpol - 24x7. The message from the hackers also spoke about the filtering controls provided by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), a body which mans computer servers across the country. Intelligence agencies have been often warning the government that proper cyber security was not being ensured in government offices and that no security audit was being carried out. Indian Cyber Army Hack Ogra.org.pk  website In a dangerous emerging trend of back and forth website defacing, a group of Indian hackers called the 'Indian Cyber Army' hacked the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) [ www.ogra.org.pk ]  website on Saturday. Iranian computer hackers on Monday hijacked the website of the Voice of America, replacing its Internet home page with a banner bearing an Iranian flag and an image of an AK-47 assault rifle. The group called on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to "hear the voice of oppressed nations." The banner stated that "we have proven that we can." The message called on the United States to "stop interfering in Islamic countries." It then listed more 90 websites of VOA it claimed has also been hacked. A State Department spokesman could not be reached for comment. An administration official said the group identified with the banner is known as the Iranian Cyber Army. Dec 4 (IBNS) Confirming reports of its website being hacked, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday said it has registered a case under Information Technology Act. " It has come to the notice of the CBI that its official website was unauthorisedly accessed and defaced in the intervening night of December 3 and 4. A case has been registered in this connection in the cyber crime cell of the CBI ," an official spokesperson told media on Saturday. India's federal investigating agency said efforts are on to restore the website. " Efforts are underway to restore the website with the help of National Informatics Centre and the CBI cyber security experts ," said the spokesperson. An official with Iran's Revolutionary Guard has said that Iran welcomes hackers who are willing to work for the Islamic Republic.  "Regarding the cyber issue, we welcome the presence of those hackers who are willing to work for the goals of the Islamic Republic with good will and revolutionary activities," said Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, adding that those hackers who he said are working against people will be dealt with.
